Generate a Test Report
Process selected orders into reports, then read, download or print the PDF.
Once an order exists and its results are recorded, generating the report is two clicks.
Check the results first
Processing reads the pathogens and AMR genes on the order. Select the Results cell on the row to review them — a + icon means nothing has been recorded yet, and a green flask with a number shows how many entries there are.
This matters for two reasons: the results drive the treatment analysis, and they determine what the report costs. An order with no pathogens detected produces a negative-result report, which is priced differently. See Billing.
Process the orders
- Tick one or more orders.
- Select Process.
The button reads Processing… and the selected rows move to Processing. You can select several orders at once; they are queued and worked through in turn.
Keep the page open. A single report took about 50 seconds in our demonstration, but the time varies with the complexity of the result.
When it finishes
The status becomes Processed, the Report column icon becomes active, and the Billing column shows what the report cost.
If something fails you will see a message naming the reason, and how many of the selected orders did complete before it stopped. An order that did not produce a report returns to Received and can be processed again. While the system is still retrying one, it stays on Processing.
Read the report
Select the icon in the Report column. The PDF opens in a viewer inside the page.
The File column is a different thing — that opens the source document the order came from, not the analysis.
A generated report has three pages:
- Specimen and patient details, Test Results, Recommended Treatment, Alternative Treatment, Not Recommended due to AMR, and the clinical disclaimer.
- The reasoning: guideline preference, oral step-down considerations, Treatment Considerations and Notes.
- The sources and guideline links behind the analysis.
Your logo appears on the report. It comes from the picture on your Profile page.
Download or print
Use the PDF viewer's own toolbar — the download and print icons, the page selector and the zoom controls. There is no separate download button on the page; everything happens through the viewer toolbar your browser provides.
Regenerating a report
Processing an order that already has a report does not charge you a second time. Each order is charged once.
If processing will not start
If you see Upload a fillable template before processing lab reports, your account has no report template available. Standard users cannot upload one — contact your administrator, who can add it for you.
